Canada is rich in rare earth elements, yet does not have a single operating mine — a situation Christine Burow is determined to correct as soon as possible.
Burow is Chief Marketing Officer for Torngat Metals and its proposed Strange Lake mine and processing plant in northern Quebec. The site holds large amounts of dysprosium and terbium, two heavy rare earth elements (REEs) essential for clean technologies and defence. China largely controls the global market for both.
