Context

Over the next 30 years, it’s expected that three billion tons of metals and minerals will be required to power the energy transition. But at what cost? Twenty-five communities on the frontlines of the energy transition have teamed up with Environmental Justice Atlas and MiningWatch Canada to map the ‘green’ mining boom’s many impacts and share strategies of resistance across the Americas. Join us at the global launch of a new interactive map to better understand key regional trends and hear from communities leading the way towards a just transition.
